Outlook Fails to Send Emails? Check your Settings

It is a panicking situation when Outlook fails to send emails due to no reasons according to the users. In most of the cases, it has been found that the problems lies within Outlook general settings due to which sending and receiving mails with it gets badly disrupted. So, to troubleshoot this issue, user need to make sure that some of the basic settings are intact. 

Before going in the troubleshooting procedure, make sure that Internet connection is active. Once connection is made, try sending your mail with a new email profile. To create a new profile, visit the mail setup dialog box. On the basis of your Windows OS version, follow the wizard and register your user account. Add the details like profile name and click OK for naming the new email profile. Use the new email profile in Microsoft Outlook when Mail dialog box appears. Confirm the mail send by Outlook. 


In case if making the new profile doesn't works then there would be problem with TCP/IP. So, you may follow the below mentioned steps for setting TCP/IP as your default protocol. 


  • Open Run and type ncpa.cpl and then open Network connection window 
  • Click on properties settings of your Internet connection tab. 
  • Select the Internet Protocol check box by clicking from General tab. 


After completing the whole procedure, restart your computer and try sending an email to yourself from Outlook account. If every thing is correct, you would definitely receive the mails.
